The suit claims that the man was wrongfully exposed to benzene throughout the course of his employment. Family Takes Action Neil Kelly was reportedly diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia and died shortly after his diagnoses. His wife, Carolyn and their children, decided to take action against his employers who they believe are responsible for his illness and wrongful death. The suit claims that Kelly was exposed to toxins and carcinogens, including benzene, while working without his knowledge. The family claims the companies manufactured and sold products containing the harmful chemical and were negligent for not making their employees aware of the potential risk.
